When consulting pays off

Picking a stack for a new project and want to know the trade-offs of specific choices (PHP vs Python, Symfony vs Laravel, monolith vs microservices, etc.).
Planning a legacy rewrite and want help with the migration plan, risk assessment and roadmap.
Have an in-house dev/team and need a sparring partner for architecture, code review or processes.
Hiring an external vendor and want their proposal/solution reviewed by someone independent who isn't on the job.
Have a specific problem and want a fast answer from someone who's been there.

Consulting formats

One-hour call

60 minutes online (Google Meet / Teams / Discord) on a specific problem or question. I prep on your materials in advance.

Code review

I go through a specific code chunk / repo and write structured notes. No nit-picking, just what's worth addressing.

Architecture proposal

I write up the recommended architecture for your new project — diagrams, tech stack, cost estimates for different scenarios.

Vendor / proposal review

I review an external vendor's proposal and flag risks, ambiguities, underestimated parts, and questions to ask the vendor.

Pricing

1,500 CZK/hour, invoiced after completion. 1-hour minimum. If work exceeds 8 hours, we agree on a package with a small discount.

Around Opava I'm happy to come in person, elsewhere across the Czech Republic online. For special cases (workshop, on-site mentoring), travel can be arranged.
